I'm still trying to build on my list of books students can read independently, and looking for short texts that exemplify the hero and heroine's journeys.

Okay, once I got over the initial anxiety of reading a syllabus (I closed my eyes and chanted "I graduated from high school and college!" over and over), I loved it! It looks like such an interesting class and the workload is steady but not overwhelming. Your students will really enjoy themselves!
